About Mike
Mike is a director, actor, translator, and clown. He is the Co-Artistic Director and co-founder of Seattle's Dacha Theatre, which specializes in site-specific productions, immersive spectacles and original work. He concentrated in Theatre at Hampshire College and created Elsinore, an immersive adaptation of Hamlet as his thesis. He frequently directs in non-traditional spaces, working to blur the line between audiences and performers. Mike is drawn to physical theatre and has trained in Commedia dell’Arte, American Melodrama, Suzuki Movement, Slapstick, and Clown. Mike also works as a Program Associate and improv coach at Youth Theatre Northwest. Over the course of the 2020, he worked as a streaming director for a number of interactive digital theatre shows. He recently directed Dears in Headlights, a drive-in clown and physical theatre piece with Dacha Theatre.
